GULF OIL SPILL In light of the unprecented size and magnitude of BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, we feel we must, at the very least, offer any services we can to those in the affected areas. The shear magnitude of this disaster is beyond most of our comprehension. It is feared by many that the fishing industries all across the Gulf will be changed, possibly for many years ahead. This will also apply to the cities, businesses, and people who rely on these regions for their livelihood. Another of the great fears is the very likely senario of a tropical system or hurricane coming into the northern area of the Gulf of Mexico. Not only will this very possibly force much more of the spilled oil into land, but will also hamper the relief efforts and efforts to stop the flow. Alert 1 Weather, Inc. will be closely monitoring the situation and will be ready to provide relief services and any aid we can to those in need in the Gulf Regions. Alert 1 Weather, Inc. welcomes any ideas, suggestions, or comments to provide assistance to the regions. 06-30-2010 UPDATE Alert 1 Weather will be making a trip to the Gulf Coast region sometime between 07-08-10 and 07-12-10. We will be assessing the BP oil spill and document how it is affecting the area's businesses and individuals and determine, if possible, any foreseeable need for our's and other disaster relief organizations' future involvement. PRESS RELEASE
03-12-2010 Alert 1 Weather, Inc. is very pleased and proud to announce that we have been invited and requested to join the Vortex2 project for the 2010 year. This is a huge honor, as only a very limited number of people from around the world are invited to join in this scientific project.
Vortex2 is the world's largest and most scientific study to understand and study tornadoes. Alert 1 Weather, Inc. will be working alongside of over 100 scientists, over a dozen universities, several government, private organizations, and participants from the

Currently, the average warning time is 13 minutes, with a 70% False Alarm Rate. Goals and hopes are that these studies will provide better understanding and may be used to increase warning times to 30-60 minutes with more accuracy. This will inevitably lead to saving more lives and reduce injuries to those in the path of tornadoes.
The 2009 study was covered extensively by most all major media networks and newspapers throughout the world. A higher media coverage and presence is expected for this year's project.

Would you like to be a part of reaching out to those in need and helping people when a disaster strikes?
Every year hundreds of people are affected in some form by Severe Weather Events, Natural and Man-Made Disasters. For almost everyone of these people, this is the biggest tramatic event that has ever happened to them. They are at a loss of what to do.
There are too many scenarios to list. So many times, just a warm smile, a gentle touch, a comforting word can make all the difference to these people.
We, at Alert 1 Weather, strive to reach out and help anyone in their hours of need. As we are growing, we are getting more and more requests from all over to help. While we can not be everywhere, we would like to have a network of people in many areas who are willing to help when they can or when they are needed. No special skills are required to join in our all volunteer organization. Only a desire to help in some way is all we ask. Those with specialized skills are always welcome and needed also.
There are no set amounts of time or locations required to be a part of our Organization.
Volunteers from Churches, Schools, Civic Groups, Businesses, and various organizations are very welcome and needed to join us.
We are always in need of various donated items also. Many times, as our supplies come in, they may go out just as quickly. It seems we never have enough.
If you would like to join us, help those in need, or just have any questions, please contact us at anytime at any of the email addresses below.
