Massive Tornado Outbreak of 04-27-2011 DISASTER RELIEF OPERATIONS ONGOING
Due to the massive tornado outbreak across the Deep South on 04-27-2011, Alert 1 Weather is conducting extensive disaster relief operations. Dennis Sherrod, from Alert 1 Weather conducted an in-depth damage assessment, documentation, and disaster relief needs in the first three days after the storms. At the current time, separate teams have been active in several areas of Alabama due to the extremely widespread amount of devastation, injuries, and deaths. The current death toll is in excess of 325. Also, there have been over 1600 injuries in Alabama, over 5000 homes destroyed, and thousands more damaged. In addition to our operations providing food, clothing, medical assistance, we are actively assisting the victims as they try to go through the huge amounts of rubble to try and salvage anything they have left.
Alert 1 Weather, Inc. has dedicated its Humanitarian Aid Services and Volunteers long term to help these people try and rebuild their lives. We realize that this will take many months and in some areas years to try and rebuild. We will be there in their time of need.
The following goals, services, and plans are either in progress or being implemented.
Alert 1 Weather, Inc. operates 100% from your generous donations, contributions, or sponsorships.
